Data from a multi-parameter STREAM sonde in Dungarvan showed low salinity and very low oxygen levels and as a result, these findings were investigated by the STREAM PM.
Strengths:
- Correlation analysis between salinity, oxygen readings, and weather conditions.
- Utilization of the weather station data to supplement the seawater analysis.
- Presentation of the potential causes and consequences of low salinity and oxygen levels.
Areas for Improvement:
- Inclusion of trend data to enhance the analysis.
- Exploration of the impact of localised low salinity and oxygen.
- Consideration of anthropogenic factors that might contribute to changes in seawater composition.
